JAY B. REZNICK, D.M.D., M.D. 

DIRECTOR OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CENTER FOR ORAL AND FACIAL SURGERY

Dr. Reznick is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his undergraduate Biology degree from CAL-Berkeley, Dental degree from Tufts University, and his M.D. degree from the University of Southern California. He did his internship in General Surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at L.A. County- USC Medical Center.

 

Dr. Reznick was one of the first North American adopters of fully-guided, prosthetically-based implant surgery and was the first specialist in the U.S. to integrate CBCT and CAD/CAM in his practice. He has taught dentists about basic and advanced implant dentistry, surgery, and 3D digital technology for the last 2 decades. Dr. Reznick has published extensively in the dental and medical literature. He lectures frequently at dental meetings and educational conferences, as well as giving live training courses to dentists from all over the world.

 

Dr. Reznick is one of the Founders of the website OnlineOralSurgery.com, which educates practicing dentists in basic and advanced oral surgery techniques. Dr. Reznick is also a consultant to a number of manufacturers and suppliers of dental and surgical instruments and equipment, and is on the Editorial Advisory Boards of a number of dental journals.  He is the Director of the Southern California Center for Oral and Facial Surgery in Tarzana, California. Richard A. Lazar

Richard A. Lazar is the founder and president of Readiness Systems. Richard has been at the forefront of AED program operations, risk management, legal and public policy issues for over 20 years. He has authored national AED program industry standards and served as a speaker, AED program compliance and risk management consultant, and expert witness for clients nationwide. Richard’s deep understanding of AED program compliance and risk management has led him to testify before the U.S. Congress in support of the Cardiac Arrest Survival Act, the FDA on AED over-the-counter and reclassification issues and numerous state legislatures on AED public policy issues and immunity laws.

Earlier in his career, Richard practiced emergency medical services law, designed EMS systems, served as an EMS system administrator and was an emergency medical technician. Richard holds a law degree from Lewis & Clark School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Affairs from the University of Oregon.

Christine Taxin is a vision-driven person finding strength and direction from her inner convictions. Her energetic, thought provoking and successful program development shines a bright light for others to preview the future and find their place in it. She is the founder and president of Links2Success, who delivers continuing education seminars for dental and medical professionals and serves as an adjunct professor at the New York University (NYU) Dental School and Resident Programs for New York City Programs.

Christine Taxin has been awarded “Leader in Consulting” for the past six years in Dentistry Todays List. Christine is on the board of Stem Cell Collection, and works with the ADA and AMA as Consultant. ADIA Fellowship

As a provider of continuing dental education, Ms. Taxin has been a guest speaker for many meetings. The AGD has approved her company Links2Success as a national provider of PACE continuing education credits. Ms. Toxin’s Books “Introduction to Medical Billing”,” Introduction to CT Scan Billing” and “Oral Surgery and Implant Surgery” have been received by many as the go to workbook for training. Mrs. Taxin has an eBook available so the dental world that dentists can understand what we need to do with Medicare. “Medicare in the Dental Practice” with a fellow expert. Ms. Taxin will continue to travel across the country teaching dental and medical coding, with the skill to learn how to utilize diagnosis codes within the dental world. Her main concern is to provide every patient that has a medical necessity the ability to utilize all of their insurance benefits, to benefit the patient and the oral providers who have taken the role of oral physicians.

Larry J. Sangrik, DDS

Larry J. Sangrik, DDS is a 1979 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Returning to his hometown of Chardon, Ohio he volunteered with the local EMS service as he established his general dental practice. While serving a diverse array of patients, Dr. Sangrik took particular interest in those with dental fear. As his expertise in apprehension management grew, in 1999 he bean lecturing nationally and writing on the dental subjects of:

​

  • medical emergency preparedness in dentistry

  • dental fear

  • the use of conscious sedation and

  • patient monitoring

 

Having lectured at most of the nations’s preeminent dental meetings, Dr. Sanrik was asked to write and develop a video and workbook on medical emergency preparedness for the American Dental Association (release scheduled early 2018). Dr. Sangrik enjoys travel and Big Ten College football. He and his wife, Wendy, have two adult children and reside in Chardon, Ohio.

Brady leads Alabama's largest CPR+AED company - Trio Safety - responsible for training over 85,000 individuals in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and lay provider First Aid CPR AED since 2012. Additionally, as CEO of Stop Heart Attack, he oversees daily operations responsible for managing thousands of AED programs with over 15,000 AEDs across the country.

 

His professional background includes serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Troy University, Special Agent with the Investigations & Intelligence Division of the Alabama Dept. of Corrections, Chief of Police with the Alabama Historic Ironworks Commission Police Department, Firefighter/EMT with the Birmingham Fire & Rescue Service Department, and Agency Instructor II with the NDPC US Dept of Homeland Security's TEEX Emergency Operations Training Center. His passion, though, is fulling his company's motto: lifesaving made easy.

 

Brady resides in Birmingham, AL, with his wife, Malynda, and three young children.

He is the author, or contributing author, of three books on patient safety. Results of his patient safety work have appeared in over 35 publications and news outlets.

Mr. Harden has been involved in safety training for over 25 years, producing over 40 separate training programs for commercial aviation, military flight squadrons, heavy construction, military contractors, healthcare and dental practices. He is a certified TeamSTEPPSTM Master Trainer and has personally trained over 20,000 physicians, nurses, staff and administrators in the last 13 years.

Stephen is a dynamic presenter. His interactive presentations have been enjoyed by audiences at annual conferences conducted by AORN, The Joint Commission, American College of Surgeons, American Hospital Association, Society for Thoracic Surgeons, AmSECT, and many state hospital associations and QIOs.

A professional pilot with 39 years of experience, Stephen is a captain for a major international airline. His expertise in the field of aviation safety training has garnered him eight awards for superior performance and Quality Achievement.

Harden is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He accumulated over 300 aircraft carrier landings during service with the U.S. Navy and was selected to be an instructor pilot at the Navy’s elite Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN).  He holds an Airline Transport Pilot rating and Type ratings in B-727, B-737, and MD-11 aircraft and has served as an FAA certified flight examiner.

Dr. Larry Emmott – is a certified HIPAA professional, a practicing dentist who has been recognized as the leading dental high tech authority in the country and is one of the most entreating speakers in dentistry. Dr. Emmott has addressed hundreds of professional groups, and has been a featured speaker at every major US dental meeting. His topics include data safety, paperless electronic records and using the Internet effectively for both practice development and enhanced patient care. He has written three books on using technology in the dental office; and is a featured contributor to the ADA book “Expert Business Strategies”. He has contributed hundreds of articles to dental publications; he has been a pioneer in online publishing with his blog EmmottonTechnology.com and has been recognized as one of the top ten dentists in social media.

Dr. John B. Roberson graduated from Hattiesburg High School, received his B.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi, his dental doctorate from the University of Mississippi and his Oral & Maxillofacial surgery training from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.   While in dental school, he was elected President of the American Student Dental Association (13,000 members) during his third year.  Then in residency, he helped co-found the Resident Organization of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ROAAMOS).

 

Dr. Roberson writes and lectures extensively on the subject of Medical/Sedation Emergencies and Emergency Drugs in the Dental Office.  He has been selected as a CE Leader for Dentistry Today for over 10 years consecutively.   He currently is CEO and Co-Founder of AAFDO (Accreditation Association For Dental Offices) which has numerous inspection and emergency preparedness programs dedicated only to Dentistry. He was the Co-founder and CEO of the Institute of Medical Emergency Preparedness which was an online medical emergency program for dentists and their staff.   He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Oral Cancer Screening Forms and Timeout Checklists.  Current President of the MS/LA component of ADSA

 

Roberson is currently Board certified by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He was Board certified with ABOMS (1999-2019). He has Fellowships in American College of Dentists, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and International College of Dentists.

 

 

He is a member of the American Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Association, American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Academy of Oral Medicine, and South Mississippi Dental Society.

A versatile interior designer with experience in the corporate, hotel and hospital architectural design field, Pat Carter focused specifically on the medical specialty dental office project type in 1979. This led to exclusive expertise as a dental office specialty interior designer, consultant, author and continuing education speaker. To her credit, she has been involved in the design and construction of 1500 plus dental offices, has presented over 200 continuing education courses and written articles specific to the dental office specialty project. Since the inception of the Practice Design Group, her clients have won 16 national dental office design awards.

Ernie Luce completed Dental School in Houston, Texas in 1985 immediately followed by a one year General Practice Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He joined the faculty in San Antonio and continues today as the primary resource for sedation training and emergency management training to the residents in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program.
